Yank was the first of our two imports to arrive in 1999. He arrived in Sydney quarantine station late February to a very sudden change in climate, straight from the northern hemisphere winter into one of our hottest months. Still, he survived his 30 nights well and was soon home with us here in Queensland.

His first major show outing was at Sydney Royal under breed specialist Mrs Wera Hubenthal, Yank won the puppy dog class and then went on to win Reserve Challenge - beating many Champions for this award.

Although bred in the USA, Yank's bloodlines are all European, a complete outcross to our existing lines. Both his grandsires are ranked among the top stud dogs in France. His dam, Sarah - Am Ch Iowa Blonde de la Tour St Genin HOF (imp France),  has been a top producer for her owner Barbe Lynch, several of her offspring being 'selected' at the 2000 USA Rassamblement, Sarah has strong herding instinct and has passed that on to her get, one of her daughters is one of the few Herding Champion Briards in the USA.

Once again we did our homework and knew that Yank's lines would combine well with our existing bloodlines. Yank is the sire of three litters and has been a resounding success as a sire. His pups all have VERY strong herding instinct and his lines combined extremely well with the Oslo / Henri lines, producing wonderful temperaments and dogs with fabulous correct 'berger' gait.
