NuCh Bradir's Evolution 92 x NuCh Picador Bianka

'Gynt' - bred by Rodi & Wera Hubenthal

Gynt came from the Norwegian Winter Olympic City of Lillehammer and was imported around the age of 7 months. His importation was delayed as he broke his hind leg frolicking in the Norwegian snow. His leg healed well but he was left with an occasional limp, so because of this he  never graced the show ring with his presence. He was an important addition to our gene pool, his parentage being similar to Oslo's with the addition of another very strong and successful American line. Gynt was a hugely successful sire. He was the sire of Cacharel Edvard (Schneider) who was the first Briard to win Champion Puppy in Group at a Royal (Brisbane 1996). Other offspring are BOB winners at Sydney, Brisbane , Canberra, Perth, Darwin and Toowoomba Royals. His 2nd generation get are still young so it remains to be seen how they progress. However we expect that when we cross his lines back with Oslo's lines that we will get the full benefit of his genetic makeup. Gynt was quite a character, seemingly very strong willed and wanting his own way all the time, but when asked nicely, he always did what you wanted.  His greatest loves in life were playing with an old soccer ball and hunting frilled neck lizards . . .  he also had a toy elk that he adored that came with him from Norway, his elk was buried with him

Gynt semen has finally been used - 3 beautiful black pups were born early May 07

We have more frozen semen stored from him - enough for 7 breedings, and when the time is right will use it again over a suitable bitch
